The Employee Relations Officer Role

SSCL is seeking an Employee Relations Officer to join the Human Resources Department in Jeddah, Makkah. This full-time role is crucial for managing employee relations functions, ensuring a positive work environment, and maintaining compliance with labor laws. The officer will facilitate effective communication between management and employees, handling grievances, disciplinary actions, and engagement initiatives to promote fairness, transparency, and organizational harmony within the facility management context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement employee relations policies and procedures in alignment with labor laws and company regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and supervisors on disciplinary procedures, performance issues, and conflict resolution.
  • Investigate employee complaints or disputes and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining employee engagement programs that foster motivation, productivity, and retention.
  • Monitor workplace culture and employee morale, recommending initiatives to enhance satisfaction and performance.
  • Coordinate the communication of HR policies, procedures, and updates to ensure consistency and understanding across departments.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to employee relations cases, disciplinary actions, and grievance outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the legal team and government authorities to ensure compliance with Saudi labor law and internal HR standards.
  • Support HR initiatives such as surveys, exit interviews, and employee recognition programs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas for policy enhancement or process efficiency.
  • Ensure alignment of individual and team efforts with the organization's strategic goals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Perform any additional duties or tasks assigned by the direct supervisor, as required to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Employee Relations Officer position should have 0-1 years of experience in a relevant human resources or employee relations role.

Preferred Qualifications

A certification in Human Resources, such as SHRM-CP, CIPD, or PHR, is preferred for this role.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position located in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic facility management context.
