About the Role

YO IT Consulting is seeking a Geospatial Analysis Specialist to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience in the field. The specialist will apply their expertise to contribute to the development of next-generation AI systems.

Role Contribution

In this role, your work will directly influence how AI models learn, reason, and perform. You will provide high-quality, real-world input, leveraging your domain knowledge in geospatial analysis. Prior experience in AI is not a prerequisite for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and maintain spatial databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across various projects.
• Conduct advanced geoprocessing and spatial modeling using QGIS, integrating results into actionable insights.
• Develop, customize, and maintain QGIS plugins and extensions tailored to specific project requirements.
• Automate geospatial analysis workflows using Python (PyQGIS) to enhance efficiency and reproducibility.
• Prepare high-quality cartographic maps and visualizations for reports, presentations, and decision support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to understand requirements and translate them into effective geospatial solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly, both in written and verbal forms, to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of professional experience in geospatial analysis or a related field.
• Proficiency in spatial database management and ensuring data integrity.
• Demonstrated ability to perform advanced geoprocessing and spatial modeling using QGIS.
• Experience in developing and customizing QGIS plugins and extensions.
• Skills in automating geospatial analysis workflows using Python (PyQGIS).
• Ability to create high-quality cartographic maps and visualizations.
• Strong communication skills for technical concepts, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills and Background

• Experience working within remote or distributed teams, particularly in roles supporting external customers.
• Familiarity with additional open-source GIS tools or cloud-based geospatial platforms.
• A background in spatial analysis within industries such as environmental science, urban planning, or resource management.
