About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Remote Sensing Specialist to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and requires over 10 years of experience. BAE Systems operates as the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor, providing essential equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia, including maintenance for Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and training for RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel. The company is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda through Saudisation and developing national capability.

Role Overview

The Remote Sensing Specialist will be responsible for the collection, processing, and analysis of remote sensing data. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the production of high-quality, accurate geospatial data and intelligence products that adhere to applicable standards and policies. The individual will work autonomously, planning and organizing team activities effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and process remote sensing data to support geospatial data and intelligence products.
• Conduct image analysis to extract geospatial features and relevant information.
• Ensure all collected and analyzed data complies with applicable geospatial data standards and policies.
• Collaborate with other geospatial specialists to integrate remote sensing data into broader geospatial products.
• Apply analytical and creative skills to develop optimal remote sensing products.
• Monitor remote sensing data processing and analysis workflows to maintain quality and timeliness.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of remote sensing platforms and tools.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geography, GIS, or a related field.
• A certificate in Remote Sensing.
• Proficiency in software such as ERDAS Imagine, SOCET GXP, ENVI, ArcGIS, and QGIS.
• Extensive experience in remote sensing roles.
• Strong understanding of remote sensing principles and technologies.
• Familiarity with geospatial data standards and policies.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and customers.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role requires the ability to work effectively unsupervised and to plan and organize activities.
