Role Overview

In this role, the Geospatial Analysis Specialist will apply their domain knowledge to contribute to the development and training of next-generation AI systems. The work involves providing high-quality, real-world input that will directly influence how AI models learn, reason, and perform. Prior experience in AI is not a prerequisite; the primary focus is on strong geospatial domain expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and maintain spatial databases, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across various projects.
• Conduct advanced geoprocessing and spatial modeling using QGIS, integrating results into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Develop, customize, and maintain QGIS plugins and extensions to meet specific project requirements.
• Automate geospatial analysis workflows using Python, specifically PyQGIS, to enhance efficiency and reproducibility.
• Prepare high-quality cartographic maps and visualizations for reports, presentations, and decision support materials.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members to understand project requirements and translate them into robust geospatial solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely, both in written and verbal forms, to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Experience and Skills

• Experience level: 0-1 years in a relevant geospatial analysis role.
• Proficiency in spatial database management and ensuring data integrity.
• Demonstrated ability in advanced geoprocessing and spatial modeling using QGIS.
• Experience with developing and customizing QGIS plugins and extensions.
• Strong programming skills in Python, particularly with PyQGIS for workflow automation.
• Ability to create high-quality cartographic maps and visualizations.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Domain knowledge in geospatial analysis is essential; no prior experience in AI is required.
