Investment Analyst

About the Role

Al-Ghazzawi Holding Group is seeking an experienced Investment Analyst to join their team in Makkah, with operations spanning Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience, ideally gained within a family office, asset management firm, brokerage house, or bank. The Investment Analyst will be responsible for comprehensive investment analysis, portfolio management, and maintaining key relationships.

Investment Analysis and Research

The Investment Analyst will conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence for various investment opportunities, including public equity, fixed income, direct investments, co-investments, and funds. This involves preparing detailed reports and memos for the board and performing valuations using comparable analysis, precedent transactions, and sensitivity analysis. The role also supports transaction execution, including deal structuring, financial modeling, and preparing investment committee presentations.

• Monitor and manage existing portfolio investments, providing strategic recommendations.
• Assist in market research, industry analysis, and identifying investment trends within KSA and broader GCC markets.
• Ensure investments comply with established policies, risk limits, and governance standards.

Portfolio Execution, Monitoring, and Reporting

This position involves close collaboration with senior management and external advisors on investment strategies and portfolio performance. The analyst will support structuring, negotiations, and transaction documentation through closing. Key responsibilities include online trading, management, and reporting of GCC (mainly KSA) investments.

• Account for investments, primarily public stocks and Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) operations, using Oracle and generate relevant reports.
• Monitor and record dividends and distributions for all investments.
• Prepare periodic performance dashboards and management reports.
• Monitor the performance of advisory and discretionary mandates with asset managers.

Relationship Management and Compliance

The Investment Analyst will engage with relationship managers at banks and brokerage houses. This includes updating all Know Your Customer (KYC) and compliance documents for all banking relationships. Additionally, the role involves calculating yearly personal Zakat for Board Members during Ramadan.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a family office, asset management firm, brokerage house, or bank.
• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, due diligence, and valuation.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and investment committee presentations.
• Experience with online trading and accounting for investments, preferably with Oracle.
• Strong understanding of KSA and GCC markets.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, serving the broader region including Jeddah. The role involves working within a dynamic environment, collaborating with senior management and external advisors to manage and grow the investment portfolio of Al-Ghazzawi Holding Group.
