We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our operations in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to contribute to maintaining high operational standards within our facilities.

Role Summary

The Mechanical Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of mechanical equipment and systems. This position involves executing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to uphold operational excellence and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Address and resolve all mechanical breakdowns within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Perform equipment checks and routine maintenance to ensure optimal basic operating condition.
• Implement corrective, preventive, and scheduled maintenance activities, including adherence to the Kanban system.
• Coordinate effectively with the Maintenance team on all continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure the proper and safe handling of chemical products.
• Contribute to reducing the Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) on production lines through active presence and efficient intervention.
• Analyze and report any operational anomalies, completing M1, M2, and M3 notifications within the PM system and confirming orders.
• Report equipment faults and identify requirements for overhauls, PM plans, and necessary spare parts.
• Develop lesson plans for significant troubleshooting cases using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
• Support communication with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) regarding spare parts and critical technical issues.
• Provide multi-skilled expertise in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting across areas such as Material Handling Equipment (MHE), projects, automation, and motors.
• Perform overhauling of equipment, motors, switch gears, and other factory components independently.
• Identify local support resources, facilitate the localization of spare parts, and propose cost-effective ideas.
• Assist in the development and execution of team training and development plans.
• Serve as a backup for the immediate supervisor when required.

Compliance and Quality Standards

• Ensure mechanical operations, standards, and controls are consistently maintained at a high quality level.
• Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines and procedures within the workplace.
• Adhere to all food safety HACCP requirements and pre-requirements.
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and 5S compliance within the workplace.
• Comply with Food Defense requirements and other applicable procedures related to the scope of the job.
• Ensure adherence to BRF Sustainability Policy guidelines and the BRF Sustainability Plan, promoting compliance with global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) commitments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of a 2-year Technical course in Mechanical Trade or a closely related field.
• A foundational experience level of 0-1 years is preferred, demonstrating practical skills and a strong understanding of mechanical principles.
