Role Context and Contribution

The Mechanical Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the reliability and performance of production machinery. This position involves executing essential maintenance tasks, diagnosing equipment issues, and implementing timely repairs to minimize operational downtime. The role requires a proactive approach to equipment care and a commitment to upholding stringent safety and quality standards within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and scheduled maintenance to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including motors, drives, and production equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and take actions to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
• Inspect equipment, identify maintenance needs, and support overhaul, preventive maintenance, and spare-part planning.
• Accurately record equipment issues, maintenance activities, and work orders in SAP.
• Work closely with Production, Maintenance, suppliers, and OEMs on repairs, technical issues, and continuous improvement activities.
• Support improvement initiatives using tools such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and contribute to solutions for recurring technical issues.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE, food safety, HACCP, GMP, 5S, Food Defense, and company safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in a mechanical technician role or a related industrial maintenance field.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude for diagnosing and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with industrial safety protocols and quality standards relevant to a food manufacturing environment.
