Role Overview: OFR Head of Growth

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking an OFR Head of Growth in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience. The Country Head of Ocean Growth is responsible for leading overall Ocean Freight (OFR) growth initiatives. This includes guiding the country pricing strategy to achieve growth ambitions, driving execution, and developing relevant value propositions and solution designs.

The role also involves aligning and setting a clear direction for growth in collaboration with the Marketing & Sales (M&S) organization, covering all sales channels (CSI/MNC/SBC, BC, and digital). The OFR Head of Growth will drive the product commercial organization around OCC and RDM structures where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive volume growth across all OFR products in coordination with OFR Country management and Country product heads.
• Focus on trade lanes and countries as per the Trade Lane growth plan, in collaboration with Regional Trade Management.
• Lead OFR pricing activities, ensuring efficiency and competitiveness for all ocean freight sub-products.
• Oversee large tenders managed by OCC specialists within the global RFQ process, ensuring efficient execution with stakeholders.
• Drive automation within the Tender management setup and spearhead RFQ analytics to improve win ratios.
• Drive risk-taking analysis and proposals to achieve country growth targets.
• Simplify country-led RFQs to increase efficiency and drive STP on tender business.
• Drive senior commercial product engagement and serve as the focal point for Country product development.
• Responsible for the Country Growth structure and Country RDM structure (where applicable).
• Drive development and execution of local trade lane plans via OFR FS Major across all OFR products, aligned with focus Trade lanes defined by Trade Management.
• Define target customers from a product and/or trade perspective with local OFR product heads, Trade Management, and M&S.
• Drive STP within the BC segment with M&S, serving as the Country focal point for M&S.
• Ensure process alignment with M&S within the country and align M&S activities relevant to OFR product across the country.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to drive growth initiatives and execute strategic plans.
• Experience in pricing strategy and tender management within the freight forwarding industry.
• Strong understanding of ocean freight products and trade lane dynamics.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including M&S and product heads.
