Job Description

About the Role

Sawaco is seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee all procurement activities in Jeddah. This full-time role is essential for ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required for operations, maintaining a reliable supply chain, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with Sawaco’s operational and financial objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and improvements within procurement processes.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts, commercial terms, payment terms, and credit agreements.
  • Manage the procurement of consumable materials, fittings, equipment, spare parts, and other operational requirements.
  • Oversee the complete procurement cycle from purchase requisition through purchase order, delivery, and closure.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and contracts.
  • Monitor procurement budgets and control costs while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
  • Manage supplier performance and resolve supply, quality, and delivery issues.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Identify and mitigate supply-chain and supplier-related risks.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate the procurement team, supporting their professional development.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand and prioritize procurement requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Prepare cost analyses and procurement reports for senior management.

International Procurement and Compliance

  • Manage international shipments and coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi customs procedures, HS Codes, and applicable SASO requirements.
  • Utilize the SABER platform for product registration and issuing conformity certificates for international shipments.
  • Handle relevant procedures through the FASAH platform.
  • Support customs-duty exemption applications when required.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in procurement management, demonstrating a strong understanding of supply chain operations and regulatory compliance.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, where the Procurement Manager will lead a dedicated team and collaborate with various internal departments to achieve operational objectives.
