About the Role

Saudia Dairy & Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO), a leading company in Jeddah, is seeking a Project Draftsman. This full-time role is critical for creating technical drawings for all Engineering projects across various SADAFCO locations. The Project Draftsman will also support the Project Manager in supervising daily operational activities at project sites and provide essential technical drawings and layout simulations for the Facilities and Security department across all SADAFCO facilities and manufacturing sites.

Core Responsibilities

• Visit project sites to collect all necessary measurements and data for proposed projects.
• Assemble collected data to complete architectural and structural designs for the Project Manager’s review.
• Check dimensions of materials required for use and assign the necessary numbers to the lists of materials.

Technical Drawing and Design

• Draw rough drafts and detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings, and structures.
• Base designs on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets, and other available data.
• Create layout and interior designs for factory buildings, office arrangements, machinery, and equipment layouts using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software.
• Provide Management with simulated outcomes of projects, considering all shared requirements.

Site Supervision and Project Execution

• Supervise, coordinate, and inspect the work of technicians, fitters, and masons at construction and installation project sites.
• Represent the Engineering team on construction and installation sites.
• Ensure builders and contractors comply with design specifications.
• Advise the implementation team regarding design corrections, aligned with the Project Manager and approved by the Architect.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
• Must be able to work effectively in challenging and harsh environments.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, requiring on-site presence and interaction across various SADAFCO facilities and manufacturing sites.
