About the Opportunity

Eram Talent is seeking an experienced Project Engineer, Mechanical HVAC, to join our team in Thuwal. This contract role focuses on major building rectification and upgrade programs, specifically within residential units. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of mechanical and HVAC systems throughout the project lifecycle.

Role Overview

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the design review, material installation, site supervision, and quality inspections of mechanical components, with a strong emphasis on HVAC systems in residential buildings. This position requires a high level of expertise in the design, execution, testing, and commissioning of complex mechanical systems, ensuring strict adherence to design criteria, codes, and industry standards at every project stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform design reviews of design packages, providing constructability insights to the Design & Engineering team or consultants.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings and as-built drawings across multiple trades and disciplines.
• Supervise and inspect mechanical work, monitoring project progress within the defined scope.
• Conduct QA/QC inspections to identify nonconforming work and issue periodic reports on quality metrics.
• Respond to contractor requests for inspections, technical queries, and site clarifications, coordinating with the project management team for field directives.
• Verify quantities and work progress to ensure accuracy in completed work calculations.
• Coordinate and resolve mechanical design issues during construction, collaborating with stakeholders including contractors.
• Support technical decision-making on mechanical systems, addressing design or installation challenges.
• Assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems as required.
• Provide technical knowledge and guidance on the operation of mechanical distribution systems.
• Lead commissioning, startup, and adjustments of mechanical systems and components to ensure proper function.
• Investigate and resolve complaints related to code violations promptly.
• Monitor project progression against approved schedules to ensure adherence to timelines and milestones.
• Document deficiencies and corrective actions, including photographic evidence before and after rectification.
• Maintain comprehensive records and daily updates to the project track sheet.
• Develop Project Charters outlining project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Collaborate transparently with other FM teams, IT, HSE, and relevant stakeholders.
• Build trust and strong relationships with customers, providing user-centric options and solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer Mechanical, with a strong background in residential units HVAC and mechanical systems.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical systems design reviews, material installation, site supervision, and quality inspections.
• Demonstrated expertise in the design, execution, testing, and commissioning of complex mechanical systems.
• Thorough understanding of design criteria, industry codes, and standards.

Work Details

This is a contract position based in Thuwal. The role involves working on-site to supervise and inspect mechanical work within major building rectification and upgrade programs.
