Project Engineer

About the Role

MADKOUR is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our team in Makkah, with projects spanning Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role is dedicated to managing and supervising substation projects, ensuring compliance with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within scope, and to the highest quality.

Role Context

This position requires a highly qualified Electrical Project Engineer with proven SEC approval. The role focuses on the critical oversight of electrical works within HV/MV substation projects, ensuring all activities align with specified SEC requirements and industry best practices. The engineer will play a key role in project execution from design review through to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise electrical works in HV/MV substation projects, ensuring compliance with SEC specifications.
• Review project designs, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure adherence to established standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and SEC representatives for effective project execution and necessary approvals.
• Monitor project progress to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality objectives are consistently met.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Prepare technical reports, project updates, and comprehensive documentation as per SEC requirements.
• Ensure strict compliance with QA/QC procedures, safety standards, and HSE regulations.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and effectively resolve engineering challenges that arise.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven SEC (Saudi Electricity Company) approval is mandatory.
• 0-1 years of experience in electrical project engineering.
• Strong understanding of SEC standards and specifications.
• Ability to manage and supervise substation projects effectively.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with project responsibilities extending to Jeddah. The role involves working within a project-focused environment, collaborating with various stakeholders including consultants, contractors, and SEC representatives.
