About the Role

United Group is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join their team in Makkah, with operations covering Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role is responsible for managing procurement activities across assigned categories, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing of materials and services. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Role Overview

The Purchasing Specialist focuses on key areas including supplier management, negotiation, and cost optimization. This role is critical in ensuring that all procurement processes align with established policies and operational requirements, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end purchasing processes, including Requests for Quotation (RFQs), supplier evaluation, negotiation, and purchase order (PO) issuance.
  • Source materials and services based on approved strategies, budgets, and quality requirements.
  • Ensure timely procurement to support ongoing operations and production schedules.
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance, contracts, and commercial terms.
  • Monitor delivery schedules, product quality, and overall supplier performance, escalating issues as required.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through effective negotiation and exploration of alternative sourcing options.
  • Support price benchmarking, cost analysis, and value-for-money assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, Delegation of Authority (DOA), and ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and support internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and prepare comprehensive procurement and supplier performance reports.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in purchasing or a related procurement role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage procurement activities effectively.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Understanding of procurement policies, compliance, and ethical standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah. The role involves working within a dynamic team to support the operational needs of United Group.
