The Role of Radiology Specialist

My Clinic KSA is seeking a dedicated Radiology Specialist to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves evaluating patients' medical histories, performing and interpreting various medical imaging procedures, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all Department and Organizational Policies and Procedures.
  • Evaluate patients’ medical histories to ensure the safety of medical imaging procedures.
  • Suggest alternative medical imaging techniques when clinically necessary.
  • Inform patients clearly about the medical imaging process.
  • Collaborate with radiology technicians to optimize image quality and define protocols for different imaging procedures.
  • Analyze and interpret medical images, including X-rays and ultrasounds, to diagnose illnesses and injuries.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound scans.
  • Discuss imaging findings and diagnoses with referring physicians and healthcare providers to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Compile and verify written reports of results and diagnoses for X-ray and ultrasound scans.
  • Provide primary reporting for Mammography, CT, and MRI scans.
  • Follow medical protocols for emergency situations, including resuscitation, bleeding, or infection, as required.
  • Provide patient care by explaining imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures, and addressing any concerns.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of imaging procedures and reports, adhering to established protocols and standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as surgeons, oncologists, and pathologists, to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to patient care, including documenting findings, maintaining patient records, and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Document any critical findings and relay them to the attending doctor and/or the patient.
  • Provide oversight of the system management for the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Perform other professional duties as requested by the line manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience as a Radiology Specialist.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret medical images and perform diagnostic procedures.
  • Proficiency in collaborating with medical teams and managing patient care documentation.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based within My Clinic KSA facilities in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires on-site presence to manage imaging procedures and patient consultations effectively.
