SportPlex Saudi Arabia is seeking a Rock Climbing Instructor to join its team in Jeddah, within the Makkah region. This is a full-time position for an experienced professional dedicated to promoting safe and engaging climbing activities for participants of all ages and abilities.

The Role of a Rock Climbing Instructor

The Rock Climbing Instructor is responsible for delivering safe, engaging, and progressive climbing and bouldering sessions. This role focuses on supporting participant development and ensuring a positive, enjoyable experience for children and other climbers within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting coaching sessions for climbing and bouldering participants.
• Supervising climbing walls to ensure participant safety and adherence to facility procedures.
• Performing regular safety checks on climbing equipment and facilities.
• Facilitating participant development and skill progression in climbing techniques.
• Cultivating a positive and enjoyable environment for all climbers.

Qualifications and Experience

• A recognized climbing, bouldering, or climbing-wall instructor qualification.
• Between 5 to 10 years of experience in teaching climbing skills and supervising indoor climbing activities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of climbing safety protocols, equipment inspection, and emergency procedures.
• Current First Aid and safeguarding training certifications.
• Previous experience working with children and young people is strongly preferred.

Essential Skills and Work Requirements

• Strong communication, organizational, and group-management skills.
• Good proficiency in English communication; Arabic language skills are considered a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, school holidays, and during camp periods.
