About the Opportunity

Panda Retail Company – Savola Group is seeking a Senior Category *********** & Importation 1 to join its team in Jeddah. This full-time position is central to achieving commercial targets for an assigned category, contributing to the company's overall revenue and profitability objectives.

Role Purpose

The Senior Category Manager is responsible for defining and executing a customer-focused category strategy. This role involves balancing financial performance with innovation, differentiation, and high-quality in-store experiences to achieve sales, margin, other income, and total commercial margin targets for the assigned category, ensuring sustainable growth and contribution to Panda Retail Company’s overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies to ensure the achievement of sales, margin, and profitability targets aligned with company objectives.
• Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and differentiation within the category.
• Plan and manage assortment, pricing, and promotions to ensure alignment with customer preferences and category financial performance.
• Negotiate and manage supplier agreements and trading terms to ensure optimal cost, margin, and additional income generation for the business.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Space & Range, and Marketing teams to ensure effective implementation of category plans and product availability in stores.
• Evaluate category performance using sales, margin, and profitability reports to ensure data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.
• Lead innovation and product development initiatives to ensure the introduction of unique, high-quality, and customer-relevant offerings.
• Manage and develop supplier relationships to ensure long-term partnerships that deliver sustainable value and competitive advantage.
• Coach and support category and merchandising team members to ensure alignment with strategic goals and build strong category management capability.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience is required.

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
