Senior Intellectual Property Specialist (IP Legal)

About the Role

Albaik Food Systems Co. is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Specialist (IP Legal) to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing the company's trademark portfolio and ensuring the protection of its intellectual property both locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage local and international trademark portfolios, including registrations, renewals, oppositions, and cancellations.
• Handle trademark enforcement matters, assess available options and evidence, and recommend appropriate action.
• Coordinate with foreign legal counsel and trademark agents.
• Independently manage IP records, deadlines, and costs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi and international intellectual property laws and requirements.
• Conduct trademark searches to identify potential conflicts and advise on brand protection.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or an equivalent recognized legal qualification. A master’s degree in Intellectual Property is preferred.
• More than 6 years of relevant practical legal or IP experience, including substantial international trademark portfolio and enforcement work.
• Experience protecting consumer brands in the food or retail sector is preferred, particularly within the restaurant sector.
• Experience using IP management systems is preferred.

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires 5-10 years of experience.
