About the Role

The Luxury Collection is seeking a dedicated and experienced Spa Manager to oversee operations in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supervising and coordinating all activities related to spa services, including salon, skin care, program coordination, reservations, reception, massage, and locker room areas. The primary focus is on ensuring exceptional guest and employee satisfaction while effectively managing the operating budget.

Key Responsibilities

The Spa Manager is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of spa operations, encompassing financial management, service delivery, and human resources activities. This position plays a critical role in maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency within the spa department.

Operational Management and Financial Oversight

  • Assume responsibilities of the Spa Director during their absence.
  • Ensure all employees are equipped with proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Review budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports to support financial management.
  • Manage supplies and equipment inventories efficiently within budgetary guidelines.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the spa, related areas, and equipment.
  • Understand the financial impact of departmental operations on overall property goals and strive to meet or exceed budgeted objectives.

Guest Experience and Service Excellence

  • Set a positive example for guest interactions and relations.
  • Engage with guests to gather feedback on service levels and product quality.
  • Effectively resolve guest problems and complaints.
  • Empower employees to consistently deliver excellent customer service.
  • Emphasize guest satisfaction in all departmental meetings and promote continuous service improvement.

Human Resources and Team Leadership

  • Solicit employee feedback through an open-door policy and review satisfaction results to address concerns.
  • Ensure employees clearly understand job expectations and operational parameters.
  • Escalate issues to the department manager and Human Resources as necessary.
  • Observe employee service behaviors and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in employee progressive discipline procedures and ongoing recognition programs.
  • Review guest comment cards and satisfaction results with the team.
  • Support a comprehensive spa orientation program for new hires and supervise ongoing training initiatives.
  • Foster open, collaborative relationships within the team and ensure fair and consistent administration of property policies.
  • Celebrate team successes and publicly acknowledge individual contributions.
  • Ensure disciplinary procedures and documentation adhere to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs).
  • Assist the Spa Director with day-to-day spa operations as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in spa management or a similar supervisory role.
