About Catrion Group and the Role

Catrion Group is seeking a Sr. Manager, Legal Affairs & Compliance to join its team in Jeddah. This full-time position is central to the company's operations, focusing on overseeing all legal and compliance functions to ensure alignment with strategic goals and adherence to established standards.

Role Overview and Strategic Alignment

The Sr. Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of the company's legal affairs and compliance framework. This role involves close collaboration with the Chief Legal Officer to ensure that all legal and compliance efforts are fully integrated with the company's overall objectives and are executed in strict compliance with CATRION’s Standards of Conduct.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage work activities assigned to legal staff and the administrative functions of the Legal Affairs & Compliance Division.
  • Work closely with business leaders to define and execute company strategy from a legal and compliance perspective.
  • Manage and provide advice to internal clients across all regions on legal, compliance, and regulatory issues, dispute resolution, risk management, contracts, corporate governance, proposed transactions, strategic initiatives, and interpretation of relevant statutes and current contracts.
  • Provide strategic direction to business leaders on compliance matters.
  • Oversee and monitor the implementation of the compliance program and prepare appropriate reports.
  • Represent the company in litigation before courts and administrative tribunals.
  • Support key business teams responsible for procurement, strategy, revenue generation, product development, marketing, technology, operations, and human resources.
  • Partner with and support key business teams in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements.
  • Investigate instances of suspected major misconduct.
  • Educate clients and stakeholders on legal matters, policies, and procedures.
  • Retain and manage outside counsel cost-effectively when necessary to support the business.
  • Assist in developing appropriate internal policies and procedures to manage risk and improve business efficiency.
  • Manage internal case reviews and investigations to provide substantive assessment and favorable outcomes.
  • Review and monitor the progress and status of litigation brought against or by CATRION efficiently.
  • Communicate with competent government authorities.

Program Development and Continuous Improvement

This role includes initiating tasks for the continuous improvement of the Legal Affairs & Compliance Division's systems and initiatives that enhance processes and practices. The Sr. Manager will also manage the company's risk management program, encompassing insurance coverage and claims management. A key responsibility is to develop and deliver training programs on legal and compliance issues to employees at all levels of the organization.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position must possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in legal affairs and compliance. This experience should demonstrate a strong capability in managing complex legal and regulatory environments and providing strategic guidance.
