Technical Delivery Engineer

About the Role

CodeZal AI is seeking a Technical Delivery Engineer to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role involves managing client engagement execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to specification, and within margin. The engineer will coordinate various technical resources and report directly to the Managing Director.

Role Overview

The Technical Delivery Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of client engagements. This includes setting engineering standards, overseeing technical architecture, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. The role requires a focus on project governance and financial tracking for each engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver active client engagements according to agreed scope, timeline, and budget.
• Manage delivery governance, including sprint cadence, status reporting, risk management, and client communication.
• Oversee architecture decisions and engineering practices, such as code review, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Source, contract, and manage freelance, contract, and partner technical resources.
• Validate technical feasibility and effort estimates during the presales phase.
• Track gross margin per engagement and report on variances.
• Ensure data protection and PDPL compliance in all delivered solutions.
• Define and implement the post-go-live support model for solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software delivery.
• At least 2 years of experience delivering concurrent client engagements within an agency, consultancy, or systems integration environment.
• Demonstrated depth in cloud architecture, systems integration, and API design.
• Experience managing project budgets or margins and delivering projects through contract, freelance, or outsourced resources.
• Proven ability to set and enforce engineering standards without direct line authority.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves coordinating with various internal and external technical teams to achieve project objectives.
