About the Role

DP World is seeking a Techno Functional Logistic Lead WMS / YMS to join our team in Jeddah or Makkah, within the Makkah region. This full-time role involves analyzing IT applications, systems, and business processes, and documenting requirements according to organizational standards. The successful candidate will manage technical software application implementations to meet customer expectations and ensure the smooth operation of business and IT systems.

Role Purpose and Scope

This position requires close collaboration with business experts, project stakeholders, and solution delivery teams to specify, design, implement, test, document, and deliver solutions. A strong understanding of Supply Chain Management processes, including Warehouse Management, Order Management, Transportation Management, and Reporting modules, is essential. The role also encompasses system monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem resolution, with a preference for experience in industry-standard WMS solutions like EPG-LFS.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements for warehouse operations, translating them into WMS specifications.
• Identify and recommend WMS solutions to optimize warehouse processes, including inbound, outbound, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Configure WMS modules (*, receiving, putaway, picking, replenishment) based on defined business needs.
• Act as a liaison between business users and IT teams, ensuring effective communication and smooth implementation and adoption of WMS.
• Conduct user training sessions and provide ongoing support to warehouse teams.
• Ensure WMS processes comply with regulatory and organizational standards, facilitating effective reporting and analytics.
• Work with developers and suppliers to customize and enhance WMS as per business requirements.
• Manage the seamless integration of WMS with ERP, TMS, and other supply chain solutions.
• Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate with IT teams, and provide timely resolutions to minimize operational disruptions.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing prior to system rollouts.
• Oversee data migration, validation, and reporting to ensure accurate inventory and operational data.
• Lead WMS-related projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Coordinate with WMS vendors (*, EPG-LFS, Oracle WMS Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM) for system updates, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
• Stay informed on WMS trends and suggest automation and AI-driven improvements for warehouse efficiency.
• Manage organizational change associated with WMS implementation to ensure user adoption and minimal disruption.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Management.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Logistic Domain WMS, TMS, and supply chain, coupled with IT technical skills including Integration, RFID, AI, Database SQL, API Management, EDI, and Middleware tools.
• At least 1-2 years of project implementation experience within the 6-8 years of technology experience.
• Exposure to AGILE Development methodology.
• Certification in Project Management (desirable).
• SUN JAVA Certified Professional, Oracle Certified Professional, or Oracle ERP Certified Professional (desirable).

Technical Competencies and Skills

• Proficiency in WMS System Configuration and Customization, particularly EPG WMS or similar, to align with business processes, workflows, and operational rules.
• Experience in ERP Integration with WMS to ensure seamless data flow and process synchronization.
• Knowledge of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Integration, including conveyors and automated storage systems.
• Familiarity with RFID & Barcode Scanning Technology integration with WMS.
• Understanding of API and Middleware solutions (*, Dell Boomi, XML, JSON) for integration between WMS and other enterprise systems.
• Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) standards such as EDI 856 (ASN), EDI 940 (Warehouse Ship Orders), and EDI 945 (Warehouse Shipping Advice).
• Basic knowledge of Database and SQL (*, Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL).
• Basic knowledge of Scripting languages (*, Python, Shell scripting) for automation.
• Ability to conduct IT Troubleshooting/Technical Support, including debugging, log analysis, and performance tuning.
• Experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for WMS configurations.
• Understanding of Regulatory Compliance relevant to industry-specific WMS standards.
• Demonstrated ability in IT Project Management, including planning, resource identification, and problem resolution.
• Capacity for IT Innovation, identifying new technologies and process changes to improve IT efficiency.
