About the Role

DP World is seeking a TMS Functional Lead to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading and managing the end-to-end logistics applications landscape, with a primary focus on Transportation Management Systems (TMS). The objective is to ensure business continuity, system optimization, continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and high service quality across logistics operations.

Role Context

The TMS Functional Lead acts as a critical link between Logistics business stakeholders, IT teams, and technology vendors. This position is responsible for translating business requirements into effective functional solutions and driving tangible value from logistics technology investments. The role encompasses the ownership and strategic management of the logistics application portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the logistics application portfolio, including TMS, WMS, ERP logistics modules, CRM, and system integrations.
• Partner with Logistics and Supply Chain stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
• Lead TMS functional initiatives, including enhancements, implementations, integrations, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Drive application optimization, innovation, and process improvement across logistics operations.
• Ensure logistics applications maintain stability, availability, security, and alignment with business requirements.
• Develop and maintain the logistics application catalogue, detailing functionality, ownership, SLAs, and costs.
• Manage technology vendors, monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Support application budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX/OPEX management, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, information security standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Act as the primary functional liaison between business users, IT, vendors, and implementation partners.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in enterprise applications, with significant exposure to logistics and supply chain systems.
• Strong hands-on functional experience with TMS, WMS, and ERP logistics modules.
• Proven experience in TMS implementation, integration, configuration, enhancement, and support.
• Previous experience in a role such as Functional Lead, TMS Lead, Application Manager, Business Systems Lead, or a similar capacity.
• Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, particularly transportation operations.
• Demonstrated experience in vendor management, SLA governance, and application ownership.
• Experience managing application budgets, CAPEX/OPEX, and cost optimization initiatives.
