Therapeutic Area Partners Hematology

About the Role

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Therapeutic Area Partner (TAP) Hematology for a full-time, field-based position in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for facilitating scientific exchange with healthcare professionals (HCPs) in hematology, serving as their primary point of contact for timely and scientifically appropriate engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of disease expertise and understand the treatment landscape, including HCP mapping.
• Collect and synthesize clinical data, providing insights to internal stakeholders to inform strategic direction.
• Identify knowledge and care gaps within the territory and implement learning programs for HCPs.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive territory plan in accordance with agreed metrics and KPIs.
• Prepare for and conduct presentations and discussions with HCPs, ensuring medical accuracy and responding to unsolicited scientific and product-related questions using approved tools.
• Maintain proactive communication with physicians and other HCPs in support of approved indications.
• Develop hospital mapping and patient journeys to identify access barriers and facilitate formulary enlistment of approved indications and products.
• Communicate the scientific and economic value of BMS products to HCPs and relevant stakeholders, including HEOR evidence-based information to government agencies and healthcare organizations.
• Build strong working relationships with key external and internal stakeholders to understand HCP challenges in a complex access environment.
• Develop and deliver plans aligned with cross-functional team and product objectives, ensuring effective execution of scientifically meaningful programs.
• Promote and uphold a culture of compliance, adhering to all internal and external rules and regulations, and reporting potential concerns.

Required Qualifications

• Pharmacist with relevant pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience. A Master’s degree is considered an asset.
• Valid license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a scientific role within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Hematology experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of the healthcare system and access environment in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and strategic thinking capabilities.

Work Environment

This is a field-based role, requiring a minimum of 90% of working time to be spent engaging with HCPs through relevant interactions and activities. The TAP will engage with a broad range of stakeholders beyond treating physicians, including clinical pharmacists, HEOR experts, and multidisciplinary teams.
