Yard Supervisor

About the Role

FNRCO is seeking a Yard Supervisor to manage container yard operations in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves coordinating with various authorities and third-party service providers to ensure efficient and compliant operations. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with strong leadership and problem-solving skills, responsible for maintaining operational standards and achieving customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily container service operations, including maintenance, loading, unloading, stuffing, and destuffing, to meet customer requirements.
• Oversee the profitability and loss aspects of yard operations.
• Ensure daily container yard operations adhere to established guidelines and procedures, including maintaining operating tools and forklifts, securing premises, and complying with statutory requirements.
• Implement initiatives focused on improving cost efficiency for Container Service Yard (CSY) operations.
• Execute the product strategy for CSY to support product growth.
• Manage third-party service providers, ensuring their compliance with agreed terms, conditions, and service levels.
• Liaise with shipping companies, agents, trucking companies, customs port authorities, and other statutory bodies to ensure smooth coordination.
• Adopt and apply new professional strategies and policies within the area of responsibility, in line with management directives.
• Ensure the CSY operations team adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during activities.
• Track and improve the performance of the CSY team.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in container yard operations or a similar field.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Proven problem-solving skills.

Required Skills

• Strong motivation and drive.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including customs agents, trucking companies, and port authorities.
• Proficiency in managing third-party service providers.
• Understanding of container yard operations and associated SOPs.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, requiring on-site supervision of container yard operations.
