About the Role

Dallah Albaraka is seeking a Cook to join their team in Medina. This full-time role involves providing essential support to chief cooks by preparing and delivering high-quality basic food materials and products. The successful candidate will ensure freshness and consistency while adhering strictly to safety and hygiene guidelines within the kitchen environment.

Role Overview

The Cook is responsible for assisting in daily kitchen operations, focusing on basic food preparation and cooking. This position requires the use of standard kitchen utensils and some specialized equipment, with a strong emphasis on maintaining culinary standards and contributing to a safe and hygienic workspace.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all relevant procedures to ensure work is carried out consistently and in a controlled manner.
• Manage day-to-day operations related to the catering services to ensure continuity of work.
• Prepare and cook allocated dishes under direct supervision, meeting specified recipe quantity and quality standards.
• Assist the chief cook (chef) in ensuring that all culinary standards in the kitchen comply with established guidelines.
• Contribute to the proper care of kitchen premises and equipment by ensuring correct hygiene procedures and cleaning schedules operate within safe working practices.
• Assist in monitoring stock levels and planning daily schedule requirements, ensuring adequate resources, foodstuffs, and supplies.
• Guide kitchen staff (helpers and assistant cooks) and provide training in necessary skills, reporting any performance issues or concerns regarding the quality or quantity of delivered foodstuffs to superiors.
• Comply with all relevant food hygiene, safety, and quality policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment and the provision of quality products and services to customers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or course in Culinary Arts, OR a High school graduate.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience, OR 1-3 years of experience in basic cookery and food preparation.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position based in Medina. The salary for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
