Engineer Technician HVAC

About the Role

Le Meridien is seeking an Engineer-Technician-HVAC to join their team in Medina. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and focuses on the inspection, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of the mechanical plant.
• Monitor and control property temperature, and analyze energy and utilities usage.
• Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, and other relevant equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems or electronic wiring.
• Assemble, install, and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves.
• Perform routine pool and spa maintenance.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Ensure professional appearance, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Communicate professionally with guests and colleagues, fostering positive working relationships.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and identify opportunities for efficiency, productivity, and cost-savings.
• Perform physical tasks including reaching, moving in confined or elevated spaces, navigating uneven surfaces, climbing stairs and ladders, grasping objects, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds without assistance, and assisting with objects exceeding 100 pounds.

Required Qualifications

• Certifications: EPA Universal Certification, HVAC Certification.
• License: Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.

Work Environment

This role involves working in various physical conditions, including confined or elevated spaces, and on sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces. The ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders is essential.
