About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Medina. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the commercial and contractual success of construction and infrastructure projects. The Quantity Surveyor will oversee costs, manage contracts, assess commercial risks, and provide commercial advice to project teams to achieve financially efficient project delivery, ensuring compliance with contract terms, financial accuracy, and robust documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process interim payment certificates (IPCs), ensuring checklist completion and adherence to approval and payment workflows.
• Review requests for change (RFCs), variation orders (VOs), and other commercial change documents, providing clear commercial assessments.
• Support commercial discussions with vendors to resolve issues related to IPCs, RFCs, VOs, extension of time (EOT) claims, and final accounts.
• Maintain key commercial logs, including contract expiry dates and payment tracking.
• Prepare contract addenda and amendments as required.
• Review requests for quotation (RFQs) and requests for proposal (RFPs), and initiate Sourcing Requests (SRs) and Purchase Requests (PRs) in SAP Ariba.
• Support internal audits by collecting necessary documentation.
• Review insurance and bond submissions and provide feedback.
• Attend commercial meetings and facilitate coordination between engineers, project management consultants (PMCs), vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized university.
• A minimum of 5 years of post-degree relevant experience in contracts and commercial management.
• Previous experience with FIDIC Contracts is preferred.
