Supervisor Engineering

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Supervisor Engineering to join our team in Medina. This full-time position involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of various tools, appliances, and equipment within the hotel premises. The role requires a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment, recommending replacements as needed.
• Calibrate all controls, gauges, and meters, and identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves.
• Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies, maintaining inventory and purchase order logs.
• Inspect tools, equipment, or machines, and utilize computer systems for work-related information.
• Operate power lifts and complete life safety checklists, including fire-pump and generator run tests.
• Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems, and assist in developing disaster response protocols.
• Respond promptly to guest repair requests and ensure timely resolution.

Team Leadership and Support

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Ensure adherence to all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a professional appearance and ensure confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Foster positive working relationships, support team goals, and address employee concerns appropriately.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.
• Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new methods to enhance organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and guests.

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for proper function.
• Perform tasks requiring reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in an engineering or maintenance role, preferably within the hospitality sector. The ability to perform a wide range of technical and supervisory duties is essential. This is a full-time position based in Medina.
