The Role of Utilities Engineer

HCO is seeking an experienced Utilities Engineer (Electrical) to join its team in Al Ula, Al Har Al Ulya, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves overseeing electrical utility construction activities and ensuring compliance with project standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical utility construction activities throughout the project.
• Review electrical utility design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Monitor the installation of MV/LV power distribution networks, underground cables, substations, transformers, street lighting, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, utility authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor the testing and commissioning of electrical utility systems.
• Resolve site-related technical issues and provide necessary engineering support.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and established quality procedures.
• Prepare inspection reports, technical documentation, and progress reports.
• Support successful project delivery within established schedule and quality objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising electrical utility construction and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and reports.

Work Environment and Type

This is a full-time position based in Al Ula, Al Har Al Ulya, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active involvement in site activities and coordination with various project stakeholders.
