Kerten Hospitality is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager for The House Hotel Jeddah King Road. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, and requires 2-5 years of experience. The role involves assisting in the management and maintenance of the hotel's engineering systems and ensuring operational efficiency.

The House Hotel Jeddah King Road is an urban hotel located on Saudi Arabia’s western shore. It features 129 rooms and a signature restaurant, aiming to blend coastal lifestyle with modern hospitality. Jeddah is a dynamic city known for its seaside living, culture, and modern life, including the Jeddah Corniche and the historic Al-Balad, a UNESCO World Heritage site. King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) provides regional and international connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining the hotel’s engineering systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and energy systems.
• Ensure the smooth operation of building and guest-facing systems such as chillers, boilers, generators, elevators, and fire and life safety systems.
• Lead daily maintenance activities and ensure timely resolution of guest and departmental work orders.
• Monitor and maintain preventive maintenance programs, energy consumption, and water management to maximize equipment lifespan and efficiency.
• Plan and implement repairs, technical upgrades, renovation projects, and infrastructure improvements in coordination with the Engineering Manager.
• Manage contractors, service providers, and maintenance-related contracts.
• Maintain engineering asset inventory, spare parts stock, and oversee procurement of materials and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, civil defense, and environmental regulations and company standards.
• Train and supervise the engineering team on technical procedures, safety practices, and best practices, and deputize for the Engineering Manager when required.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in a relevant engineering role, demonstrating a strong understanding of hotel engineering systems and maintenance operations. This role requires an individual who can effectively manage daily tasks, ensure compliance with safety standards, and contribute to the efficiency of the hotel's infrastructure.
