About the Bartender Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking a Bartender to join our team in Makkah or Jeddah. This full-time position is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to guests, ensuring the bar operates efficiently and maintains high standards of cleanliness and order. The role involves direct guest interaction and adherence to company service protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare drink orders for guests accurately, following specified recipes and using precise measuring systems.
• Issue, open, and serve wine and champagne bottles professionally.
• Set up and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and all associated tools.
• Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks as required.
• Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies, and transport supplies to the bar set-up area.
• Wash soiled glassware and remove soiled wares from bar tops and tables, placing them in designated areas.
• Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs for all bar supplies.

Operational and Compliance Duties

• Process all payment methods accurately and efficiently.
• Count the bank at the end of each shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank.
• Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
• Complete all required closing duties for the bar area.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; and complete all necessary safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.

Guest Service and Team Collaboration

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and service standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience in a similar role.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this position.
• License or Certification: None specified.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Capacity to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
