About the Role

Hire Fellows is seeking a Commis Baker/Decorator to join the production team in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves supporting baking operations and assisting with basic cake decoration and finishing. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Role Overview

The Commis Baker/Decorator will be a hands-on member of the production team, responsible for preparing and baking products. This position is cross-trained, primarily supporting baking activities while also assisting with cake decoration and finishing based on production needs. The focus is on ensuring all orders meet consistent standards of quality, presentation, and freshness, adhering to food safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute baking-line activities, including mixing, portioning, baking, and other production tasks.
• Assist with fundamental cake decoration, such as piping, drawing, and finishing.
• Provide support to senior decorators for cake orders as required.
• Consistently follow standard recipes, decorating guidelines, and production processes.
• Transition between decorating and baking sections based on production volume and operational demands.
• Ensure products are completed accurately and meet specified quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain consistent baking and decorating techniques across various orders.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards at all times.
• Monitor ingredients and materials, reporting shortages or production issues to the relevant section lead.
• Collaborate with the broader production team to ensure timely completion of orders.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient working environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in baking and/or decorating roles.
• Demonstrated ability to follow standard recipes and production guidelines.
• Proficiency in basic cake decoration techniques.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
