DNS Administrator

About the Role

Excis, a global IT support organization operating across 190+ countries, is seeking an experienced DNS Administrator. This contract role is based in Makkah, specifically in Jeddah or Makkah, and requires 5-10 years of experience. The successful candidate will manage and support enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) environments, ensuring reliable, secure, and highly available DNS services across large-scale enterprise and hybrid cloud infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IPAM/DDI environments, including Microsoft DNS, Active Directory-integrated DNS, and Infoblox DDI platforms.
• Administer DNS zones, records, delegations, and architecture, performing routine configuration, maintenance, and operational checks.
• Implement and support DNS security technologies such as DNSSEC and Response Policy Zones (RPZ), monitoring and troubleshooting security issues.
• Support DNS services in hybrid cloud environments, including Azure DNS and AWS Route 53, and assist with their integration and management.
• Monitor DNS services, respond to alerts and incidents, and use diagnostic tools to investigate and resolve DNS, DHCP, and IPAM-related problems.
• Maintain accurate DNS, DHCP, and IPAM documentation, including configurations, zone management, and operational procedures.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in DNS administration and support.
• Strong knowledge of DNS architecture, zone management, delegation, troubleshooting, security, and network services.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft DNS, Active Directory-integrated DNS, Infoblox DDI, DNSSEC, RPZ, Azure DNS, AWS Route 53, and IPAM.
• Experience with Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) and load-balancing technologies is preferred.
• Experience supporting critical enterprise production environments and large-scale DNS/DDI infrastructure.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud and multi-platform DNS environments.
