About the Engine Mechanic Technician Role

Rheinmetall is seeking an Engine Mechanic Technician to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the operational readiness and reliability of various diesel and gasoline engines, as well as generators. The role involves a comprehensive range of maintenance activities, from routine servicing to complex troubleshooting and repairs.

Core Maintenance Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on both diesel and gasoline engines.
• Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble engines, generators, and their associated components.
• Execute routine engine servicing tasks, including oil and filter changes, belt replacement, coolant servicing, and fuel system maintenance.
• Adhere strictly to manufacturer specifications, maintenance schedules, and overhaul procedures for all equipment.

Diagnostic and Technical Operations

• Troubleshoot a variety of engine and generator issues, such as starting, charging, overheating, low-power, vibration, and abnormal noise problems.
• Inspect engines, generators, cooling systems, fuel systems, batteries, and electrical components to identify potential faults.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel-system faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Conduct generator testing, load-bank testing, and operational checks as required to verify performance and functionality.

Workshop and Documentation Standards

• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and spare parts used.
• Ensure workshop tools, equipment, and work areas are kept in a safe and clean condition at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this full-time position should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience in engine and generator maintenance. A foundational understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, particularly concerning diesel and gasoline engines, is essential for success in this role.
