About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Government Relation Specialist to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position involves assisting management and leadership with Human Resources issues and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The role is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and support management and the leadership team in handling and resolving Human Resources issues.
  • Support employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures.
  • Monitor and assist managers/supervisors with hiring processes and related issues.
  • Coordinate and conduct applicant drug screens, reference checks, background checks, motor vehicle checks, and social security number verification.
  • Maintain logs for applicant flow, drug screens, orientation, and transfer requests.
  • Create and maintain new hire and personnel files, and enter them into Human Resources Information Systems.
  • Assist with the orientation of new employees.
  • Monitor all hiring and recruitment processes to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, as well as company policies and standards.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files, including interview documents and I-9s.
  • Support the processing and maintenance of payroll records in accordance with policies and procedures, as necessary.
  • Inform Human Resources management of issues related to employee relations within the division or property.
  • Create and maintain filing systems and generate Human Resources data reports as needed.
  • Answer phone calls, record messages, and create office correspondence using computer systems.
  • Serve as a Human Resources subject matter expert and participate on project teams.
  • Train new hires on Human Resources processes, programs, policies, and information systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: High school diploma or * equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
