About the Guest Service Expert / Hostess Role

Marriott International is seeking a Guest Service Expert / Hostess to join our team in Makkah, with opportunities also available in Jeddah. This full-time role is central to creating a memorable and unique experience for guests, extending beyond traditional food and beverage service. The successful candidate will take initiative to deliver a comprehensive range of services, ensuring guests enjoy their dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting and preparing tables for guest service.
• Communicating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Interacting with and serving guests in a professional and attentive manner.
• Maintaining cleanliness of work areas and supplies.
• Ensuring that all transactions are handled as an integral part of the overall guest experience.

Operational Standards and Professional Conduct

Candidates are expected to contribute to a safe and efficient work environment by adhering to established company policies and procedures. Upholding quality standards is paramount, alongside maintaining a professional uniform, personal appearance, and clear communication at all times.

Physical Demands

This role requires physical activity and mobility. Candidates must be able to perform the following:

• Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
• Moving over sloping, uneven, or potentially slippery surfaces.
• Managing menus, which includes reading and visually verifying information.
• Engaging in hands-on tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance and 50 pounds with assistance.
• Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 years of relevant experience is required.
• No supervisory experience is necessary for this position.
• No specific licenses or certifications are required.
