About Nahdi Medical Co. and the Role

Nahdi Medical Co. is seeking a Hair Care Category Senior Manager to join its team on a full-time basis in Jeddah or Makkah. This role is central to managing the hair care product mix, ensuring the achievement of commercial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in alignment with departmental strategy and supplier relationships. The Senior Manager will co-lead cross-functional activities with various stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution.

Strategic Category Management

• Develop and execute the category strategy based on its defined role and intent, aligning with the broader division strategy.
• Manage the category portfolio by identifying customer needs and market insights to create new segments and list differentiated products.
• Drive the listing and delisting cycle for category SKUs, including creating new item forms, analyzing performance, and developing liquidation plans.
• Manage the distribution model of category SKUs through assortment control, item ranging, and defining assortment profiles for new shop formats.
• Coordinate with space planning and marketing teams to manage product display (Planogram) based on shopper insights, category strategy, and financial objectives.

Supplier Relationship and Business Development

• Manage and control preferred supplier lists through item selection, negotiation, and communication to drive profit mix.
• Cultivate relationships with category suppliers, developing joint business plans where applicable, and participating in contract renewal processes.
• Analyze market trends and shopper insights to anticipate future trends, supporting the division manager in developing divisional strategy.
• Assist the division manager in building internal and external relationships by leading cross-functional projects and tasks.

Cross-Functional Alignment and Commercial Execution

• Drive the consumer communication strategy for the category in collaboration with the marketing department and suppliers.
• Support the promotion calendar by agreeing on promoted items and offers with suppliers, securing budgets, and monitoring impact with marketing.
• Prioritize commercial training scope with the business support team and suppliers for new product materials.
• Develop pricing strategy and tactics for category items to maximize financial benefits, increase market share, and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Drive in-store activities by designing and agreeing on initiatives with suppliers, negotiating rental fees, and selecting Point of Sale (POS) materials.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in category management or a similar commercial role. The role requires demonstrated abilities in strategic planning, portfolio management, supplier negotiation, and cross-functional project leadership.

Work Environment Details

The work environment for this role is primarily indoors, accounting for 80% of the time, with 20% spent outdoors. The standard work week is 5 days, with 2 days off. Working hours are from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including a one-hour break.
