Healthcare Nutrition Specialist (Temp month )

About the Role

Danone MENA is seeking a Healthcare Nutrition Specialist (Medical Representative) for a 6-month temporary contract based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role is within the Specialized Nutrition Middle East division and focuses on driving brand market share in the assigned area.

Role Purpose and Context

The Healthcare Nutrition Specialist is responsible for building scientific-based relationships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty by addressing their healthcare nutrition needs. The role contributes to the market share of Specialized Nutrition brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct periodical visits to HCPs in hospitals, health clinics, and private practices to establish scientific relationships and position healthcare nutrition solutions.
• Ensure HCPs receive accurate information, clinical studies, and understand the benefits of the solutions.
• Organize and conduct scientific audio/visual meetings for HCPs.
• Identify business opportunities within the assigned area and develop initiatives to realize potential.
• Implement weekly call cycles in coordination with the direct manager.
• Monitor and respond to competitive activities to protect market position.
• Maintain high product knowledge to explain information and address HCP queries.
• Follow up on customer queries and complaints.
• Review business plans quarterly with the Head of KSA.
• Submit reports on promotional activities according to established formats and schedules.
• Ensure all business practices conform to WHO and local government codes of ethics for infant formula products.
• Conduct seminars and detailing nutrition education activities.
• Manage daily databases and comply with administrative procedures.
• Achieve qualitative and quantitative key performance indicators for the assigned area.
• Participate in daily/weekly meetings to discuss market situations and appraise activities against KPIs.
• Assist in running seminars and events.
• Collect intelligence on the HCP universe, including identifying new contacts.
• Monitor and report competitor activities, including consumer offers, medical conferences, and round tables.
• Conduct face-to-face medical detailing calls and maintain ongoing contact with identified HCPs.
• Build relationships with targeted HCPs and map decision-making networks.
• Carry out promotional activities with targeted HCPs.
• Update competitor intelligence and input into the database.
• Record and report call visits and progress against objectives.
• Attend and participate in internal meetings as required.
