Healthcare Nutrition Specialist Adult Nutrition

About the Role

Danone is seeking a Healthcare Nutrition Specialist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is based in the Specialized Nutrition Middle East division and focuses on driving brand market share and building scientific-based relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) in the assigned areas, including Riyadh, Al Qassim, and Al-Kharj. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring HCP satisfaction and loyalty by addressing their healthcare nutrition needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct periodical visits to HCPs in various healthcare settings (hospitals, clinics) to establish strong scientific relationships.
• Position Danone's Healthcare Nutrition solutions as preferred choices and the company as a first choice for HCPs through scientific argumentation.
• Ensure HCPs and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) receive accurate information, messages, and clinical studies.
• Illustrate the benefits of nutrition solutions to HCPs and conduct scientific audio/visual meetings.
• Identify business opportunities within the assigned area and develop initiatives to realize potential.
• Implement a weekly call cycle in coordination with the direct manager.
• Monitor and respond to competitive activities, recommending actions to protect market position.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge to effectively communicate information and answer HCP queries.
• Follow up on customer queries and complaints.
• Review the business plan quarterly with the Head of KSA in line with cycle objectives.
• Submit reports on promotional activities according to established formats and schedules.
• Ensure all business practices conform to WHO and local government codes of ethics for infant formula products.
• Conduct seminars and detailing nutrition education activities.
• Manage daily databases and ensure compliance with administrative procedures.
• Achieve qualitative and quantitative key performance indicators for the assigned area.

Team Collaboration and Market Intelligence

• Participate in daily/weekly meetings to discuss market situations, challenges, and appraise activities against monthly KPIs.
• Assist in running seminars and events.
• Collect intelligence on the HCP universe, including identifying new contacts.
• Monitor and report competitor activities such as consumer offers, medical conferences, and round tables to management.
• Conduct face-to-face medical detailing calls and maintain ongoing contact with identified HCPs across the defined geographical area.
• Build strong relationships with targeted HCPs and map decision-making networks in the region.
• Carry out promotional activities with targeted HCPs.
• Update competitor intelligence and input into the database.
• Record and report call visits and progress against set objectives.
• Attend and participate in internal meetings as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience. The role requires a strong scientific background to effectively engage with healthcare professionals and position specialized nutrition solutions.
