HK Storekeeper (Saudi National Only)

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking an HK Storekeeper to join their team in Makkah, Mecca, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing merchandise receipt, storage, and distribution within the facility, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking items appropriately for placement and delivering them to the correct department.
• Stack received merchandise on pallets or carts as required.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notify management of low stock levels in a timely manner.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
• Inspect deliveries and verify dates and times to ensure freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality across all case lots.
• Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
• Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures in all food-related areas.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize all refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager and complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Communicate with guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and support the team in achieving common goals.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or * equivalent.

• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: None specified.
