Instrumentation Technician

About the Role

R-Aletqan is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to join their team in Makkah, with work locations including Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role requires 0-1 years of experience and focuses on the maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of motorized actuators in industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in diagnosing faults and ensuring the reliable operation of motor-operated valves (MOVs).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motorized actuators and motor-operated valves (MOVs).
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control-related actuator faults.
• Inspect, test, calibrate, and adjust actuator limit switches, torque switches, position feedback, and control circuits.
• Diagnose faults in actuator motors, gearboxes, contactors, relays, and control boards.
• Execute actuator setup, configuration, limit and torque switch adjustments, and functional testing.
• Troubleshoot local and remote operations, including open/close commands, status feedback, and position indication.
• Assist in actuator commissioning and loop checks.
• Interpret electrical wiring diagrams, control schematics, and actuator technical manuals.
• Prepare maintenance reports and document troubleshooting activities, test results, and replaced components.
• Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and applicable maintenance standards.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates should possess strong hands-on expertise in the maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of motorized actuators. Practical experience in diagnosing actuator faults, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring reliable operation of motor-operated valves (MOVs) is essential for this role.
