About the Role

RiDiK, a subsidiary of CLPS (Nasdaq: CLPS), is seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is a contract position for a professional with a strong background in Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and comprehensive understanding of system and security practices.

Role Overview

The Linux Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and ongoing management of Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments. This role requires a professional with 7+ years of experience in the field, capable of addressing complex technical challenges and ensuring system stability and security.

Core Responsibilities

• Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, including installation, configuration, and ongoing management.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues, including performance bottlenecks and hardware failures.
• Manage advanced network services such as DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts and Ansible playbooks for task automation.
• Implement and enforce security practices, including firewall configurations, encryption, and access control.
• Work with virtualization technologies, specifically VMware.
• Utilize containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Manage storage solutions, including LVM and RAID configurations.
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Perform system tasks and resolve Vulnerability Assessment (VA) and Change Request (CR) findings.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration.
• Demonstrated proficiency in system installation, configuration, and management.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities for intricate system and performance issues.
• Experience with advanced services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP) and automation tools (shell scripting, Ansible).
• Solid understanding of security practices, including firewalls, encryption, and access control.
• Practical experience with virtualization (VMware) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift).
• Familiarity with storage management (LVM, RAID) and disaster recovery solutions.

Work Environment and Additional Requirements

This role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and may involve work in Makkah. The successful candidate will be required to work on shifts to support operational needs. Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential for effective team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
