About the Role

Saudi Air Navigation Services is seeking a Litigations Section Head to manage and represent the company in all legal cases, disputes, litigations, investigations, and corporate claims. This full-time position is based in Makkah, specifically covering Jeddah and Makkah, and requires providing efficient legal support, interfacing with governmental bodies, and interacting with external lawyers.

Role Purpose and Scope

The primary purpose of this role is to act as a central point of contact for all legal matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. The Litigations Section Head will operate within established KPIs, agreed budgets, and adopted policies and procedures, focusing on mitigating legal risks and protecting the company's interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal revisions and consultations on potential complaints and lawsuits, ensuring legal compliance.
  • Offer legal advice to resolve disputes and mitigate legal risks.
  • Communicate root causes of legal cases to relevant departments to prevent recurrence and enhance legal obligation.
  • Stay updated on applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Manage and supervise internal investigations related to malpractice, misconduct, and policy breaches by employees.
  • Provide recommendations for disciplinary actions in cases of misconduct or policy breaches.
  • Manage and supervise observations from Anti-Corruption authorities (*, Nazaha, General Court of Audit).
  • Lead and participate in various committees as instructed by superiors.
  • Supervise and review legal cases handled by external law firms to ensure compliance and coverage of legal elements.
  • Defend and protect company interests in all applicable courts and seek conflict resolution to reduce legal, financial, and reputational losses.
  • Represent the company in front of courts and committees for corporate claims, providing necessary documents and legal memorandums.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties, collecting relevant information for ongoing lawsuits.
  • Examine grievances and complaints related to lawsuits against the company or its subsidiaries, providing resolutions.
  • Manage claims, attorney letters, and the litigation process, preparing reports and recommendations.
  • Review claims and litigation information for validity and settlement in accordance with company practices.
  • Coordinate with attorney offices for company lawsuits within the Kingdom to protect corporate interests.
  • Receive judicial notifications, attend sessions, and prepare session reports.
  • Submit and follow up on the implementation of judicial rulings.
  • Draft and prepare legal responses and provide relevant documents for lawsuits.
  • Develop and update standard contract templates and processes based on legal regulations.
  • Draft and revise various types of legal documents in Arabic.
  • Monitor day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
  • Participate in on-the-job training, mentoring, and coaching of subordinates.
  • Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor workflow.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required for this role.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in the Makkah region, covering operations in Jeddah and Makkah. The role involves promoting a high-performance working environment aligned with Saudi Air Navigation Services' values.
