The Role of a Mason

As a Mason, you will be responsible for performing skilled masonry work, including the maintenance and repair of various masonry and civil structures throughout the hotel premises. This includes public areas and guest rooms, ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes and quality standards. The role requires a commitment to delivering effective maintenance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all tile grouting, blocking, and other assigned civil works within the complex.
• Conduct preventive maintenance schedules for masonry tasks as directed by superiors.
• Repair, maintain, and alter buildings, retaining walls, and other brick or stone edifices.
• Mix mortar, lay bricks and stones, construct concrete sidewalks, and build or repair steps.
• Patch and replace brick or stonework chimneys.
• Install and repair tile floors or walls.
• Interpret blueprints and plaster ceilings or walls.
• Estimate masonry jobs and perform carpentry work incidental to masonry tasks.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of experience in masonry or a related maintenance field. This role is suitable for individuals at the entry level who are looking to develop their skills within a professional hotel environment.
