Officer Loss Prevention

About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Officer Loss Prevention to join their team in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and property assets, maintaining a secure environment, and responding to various incidents. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access as needed.
• Monitor security systems including Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems.
• Secure property entrances when required and conduct daily physical hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, administer first aid/CPR, or contact emergency medical services as necessary.
• Assist guests and employees during emergency situations and notify appropriate individuals of incidents.
• Address and defuse guest/employee disturbances, calling for external assistance if required.
• Complete detailed incident reports for all Security/Loss Prevention related occurrences.
• Handle interruptions and complaints, and resolve safety hazard situations promptly.
• Escort unwelcome persons from the property without disrupting operations.
• Respond to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts and call for assistance using proper code responses.
• Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report.
• Maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents, releasing information only to authorized individuals.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.

Operational Compliance and Guest Services

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete required safety training and certifications, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs, and assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language, preparing and reviewing written documents accurately.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting team goals, and complying with quality assurance expectations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Capability to move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, run, walk, jog).
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and objects in excess of 75 pounds with assistance.
• Capacity to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats and visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in a related field.
• Ability to perform all duties as requested by supervisors.
• Some states may have additional licensing/registration requirements for this position.
