About the Role
Marriott International is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer for a full-time position in Jeddah. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and property assets through proactive monitoring, incident response, and adherence to established protocols. The position requires 0-1 years of experience in a related field.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
- Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems.
- Lock property entrances as required and conduct daily physical hazard inspections.
- Respond to accidents, administer first aid/CPR if necessary, and contact emergency medical services.
- Assist guests and employees during emergency situations and notify appropriate individuals of incidents.
- Defuse guest/employee disturbances and call for outside assistance when necessary.
- Complete incident reports for all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents.
- Handle interruptions and complaints, and resolve safety hazard situations.
- Escort unwelcome persons from the property without disrupting operations.
- Respond to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts and call for assistance using proper code responses.
- Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report.
- Maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents, releasing information only to authorized individuals.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
- Complete safety training and certifications, ensure professional appearance, and protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Ability to speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing written documents accurately and completely.
- Capability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
- Adherence to quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
- Capability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
- Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
- Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
- Physical ability to move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, run, walk, jog).
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance.
- Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
- Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Some states may have additional licensing/registration requirements for this position.
