Risk Manager

About the Role

Fakeeh Care Group is seeking a Risk Manager to lead the development and enforcement of comprehensive health, safety, and risk management programs within its facilities. This full-time position is based in Makkah and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and maintenance of organizational risk programs as defined by Fakeeh Care's risk management framework.
• Develop annual risk registers with associated KPIs and collaborate with risk owners to manage and mitigate risks throughout the year.
• Oversee departmental risk management activities and ensure alignment with facility standards.
• Prepare periodic risk register reports detailing progress and challenges.
• Participate in environmental rounds, safety programs, and drill outcomes, following up on remedial action plans.
• Manage the reporting and updating of patient safety incidents, near misses, including Medication Incident Reports and Against Medical Advice Reports.
• Analyze complex data from incident investigations to develop action plans for substantive improvements.
• Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and other process improvement initiatives to proactively address potential risks.
• Conduct tracers for selected processes, identify gaps, and develop remedial action plans.
• Assist the QRM director in conducting Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) for high-risk events, near misses, and sentinel events.
• Maintain clear communication with management regarding safety incidents, investigation progress, and escalation of critical areas.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff participation in quality and risk management efforts.
• Assist in the creation and revision of policies related to safety and accreditation, supporting adherence to regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement Responsibilities

• Perform all duties in alignment with Fakeeh's Person-Centered care values.
• Act as an advocate for patient safety.
• Contribute actively to continuous improvement initiatives within the scope of the role.
• Adhere to safety protocols and proactively address job-related safety concerns.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information.
• Comply with cybersecurity policies and standards, participating in awareness training.
• Uphold Fakeeh Care’s code of conduct, policies, and ethical standards.
• Complete mandatory education requirements prior to expiration.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in risk management, preferably within a healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and implement comprehensive health and safety/risk management programs.
• Strong analytical skills for incident investigation and data interpretation.
• Experience with FMEA, process improvement (PI) initiatives, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in the Fakeeh Care Group facilities located in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a dynamic healthcare environment focused on patient safety and continuous quality improvement.
