About the Role

Halian | Managed Services, Recruitment Agency & Contract Staffing is seeking an experienced Field Service Representative (FSR) for a contract position in Jeddah, Makkah. This role focuses on providing on-site technical support and maintenance expertise for advanced naval sonar systems within a maritime defense environment. The successful candidate will ensure the operational readiness, reliability, and performance of towed sonar equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fault diagnosis and root-cause analysis of complex sonar system issues.
• Utilize diagnostic software, test equipment, and maintenance documentation to identify and resolve technical problems.
• Provide technical recommendations and support for system performance improvements.
• Execute planned preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability and operational readiness.
• Perform corrective maintenance activities, including component replacement, repair, testing, and recommissioning of sonar equipment.
• Assist with the development and execution of annual engineering support plans.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system defects, repairs, and technical interventions.
• Support the management and control of maintenance inventory and spare parts.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Act as a key technical interface between operational personnel, engineering teams, and maintenance management.

Maintenance and Engineering Support

This role involves a comprehensive approach to maintaining sonar systems. Responsibilities include ensuring maintenance activities align with approved schedules and technical procedures, supporting lifecycle management initiatives, and restoring systems to full operational capability while adhering to technical and safety standards. The FSR will also collaborate with engineering teams to address recurring system performance issues and support technical investigations and reliability assessments.

Documentation and Inventory Management

The Field Service Representative is responsible for producing regular maintenance reports and technical updates for management and customer stakeholders. This includes ensuring all documentation remains current and aligned with quality management requirements. Additionally, the role involves tracking parts consumption, maintaining accurate inventory records, and identifying critical spare requirements to support replenishment planning.

Compliance and Stakeholder Engagement

A strong focus on compliance, quality, and safety is essential. The FSR will promote a safety culture, adhere to site-specific health, safety, and environmental requirements, and support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews. Building effective working relationships within a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment is key, as the FSR will deliver professional technical support while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Work Environment

This position is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Occasional travel or deployment may be required based on operational needs.
