Role Overview: Store Manager

Damas Jewellery is seeking a Store Manager for a full-time position in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on managing sales, profitability, operations, asset protection, and human resources within the assigned store. The Store Manager is responsible for motivating, training, and inspiring the team to achieve productivity and sales goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safeguarding store keys and ensuring strict adherence to store timings, work schedules, and staff break times.
  • Maintaining DAMAS standards for store tidiness, product display, and security.
  • Communicating sales plans to team members and ensuring individual and collective target achievement.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and proper functioning of all store equipment, including weighing scales, calculators, and diamond testers.
  • Overseeing regular counting of high-value items (gold bars, gold coins, certified diamonds) and generating reports as per audit procedures.
  • Ensuring all customers receive attention from sales staff and that their requirements are understood.
  • Providing accurate product and price information to customers and assisting sales personnel as needed.
  • Ensuring complete adherence to store operational procedures (Blue Print).
  • Monitoring the Repair Order register/Navision and following up for timely delivery, ensuring customer requirements are fulfilled.
  • Ensuring accurate invoicing and preventing discrepancies in cash/credit transactions.
  • Checking customer bookings and updating them at least twice a month.
  • Inspecting all jewellery upon receipt, on display, or in back-up stock to identify items requiring attention (cleaning, polishing, rhodium) and removing non-conforming products.
  • Ensuring adequate quantities of all packing materials are available, stored properly, and reporting low inventory immediately.
  • Participating in stock-taking exercises.
  • Staying informed about current market trends.
  • Ensuring all security standards, including CCTV and alarms, are met.
  • Managing petty cash expenses according to Finance Department guidelines and submitting expenses with due approvals.
  • Ensuring staff adhere to grooming standards as per the HR manual.
  • Handling staff grievances in line with HR policies.
  • Maintaining high staff motivation and energy levels.
  • Conducting yearly performance appraisals for team members following DAMAS standards.
  • Developing a talent pipeline within the store.

Performance Indicators

  • Achieving sales targets and store KPIs.
  • Ensuring the store meets all DAMAS standards.
  • Demonstrating excellent product knowledge of both own and competitor products.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service in store, following DSCE guidelines.
  • Maintaining 100% stock accuracy through effective stock control.
  • Ensuring regular and punctual attendance of all staff.

Experience and Work Type

This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience. The salary for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
