Supervisor Stewards

About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking a Supervisor Stewards for a full-time position in Jeddah, Makkah. This role involves directing and assisting stewards to ensure efficient cleanup operations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and banquet areas. The Supervisor Stewards will play a key role in supporting kitchen and banquet staff and upholding company safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and assist stewards to optimize cleanup efficiency.
• Ensure appropriate water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning, and document these levels.
• Assist with banquet plate-ups and provide support to cooks and kitchen staff as needed.
• Supply cooks with necessary items and support banquet and buffet operations by transporting and ensuring adequate stock.
• Return cleaned items to their designated locations.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dishwashing machine, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
• Communicate professionally with others and develop positive working relationships to support team goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and assist a team effectively.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining cleaning equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety and sanitation protocols.
